Are you excited for your Next Adventure!

Have you ever seen the movie up? It's a story about an old man, who triumphed in the face of grief and loss and other weighty matters. He took matters into his own hands. He chose to do what no one else had ever dared do. He defied all laws of gravity (quite literally) and took off on a magical flight across a distant land. How did he do this?  By using what he had. By tying dozens of balloons to his house and trusting that the winds would allow him and his house to take flight, which then resulted in him experiencing a most epic and exciting adventure which otherwise could not have happened.

Now, I've never experienced an adventure quite like that in the movie UP and yet,
I'm so excited! Let me tell you why.
I'm excited because I know I have a Savior, Jesus Christ.
I am excited because I know miracles have not ceased
and I am especially excited because I know that, because of this,
WE can have hope for healing (whether that be physical, spiritual, mental or emotional).
I am excited because I know that, even if we do not find the healing we hope for today, or tomorrow,
or even years for now, that blessing will come someday, even if we have to wait until after this life.
But guess what? Even though I'm so excited about that...
I'm even more excited to know that I can be happy NOW. And YOU can be happy too.
I can be happy today! And tomorrow and Forever if I choose too!
I know that I have a choice in the matter. And I know that there ARE reasons to be happy.
And yes, silly as that sounds, that knowledge gets me giddy and excited for the next adventure waiting to happen. I know my happiness doesn't have to be limited by my trials, burdens or set backs!

Let's be Excited for today, tomorrow and every day ahead of us.  Let us remember that we can choose to find joy and happiness regardless of our circumstances. Let us remember that happiness...and true joy are not a representation of what we have but perhaps more of what we give and how we view our circumstances. If we find it difficult to do so on any given day, may we remember that there will be better days to come.

Now, of course we're not going to be flying away in a house tied to balloons...but symbolically speaking, when winds come our way, if we can look past the winds and onward to the direction they are taking us, and trust in the direction of those winds, and our ability to navigate through them, we may find that, indeed (as said in the movie UP)...

Adventure is out there!
